This policy explains what 2080 Ventures ("2080", "we") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only — programs, funds and portfolio companies operate under their own agreements.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on this site — the contact form, a program enquiry, or the founder perks signup — we receive your name, email address, the audience you selected, the program you chose, and anything you write in the message field. Nothing on this site asks for a payment method, an address, or a government ID.
Sign-in data. Team members who verify with Google to view internal deal information share only their email address and basic profile with us.
Technical data. Standard request data — IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referring page — plus a cookie that remembers your language choice and, for site editors, a session cookie.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to run programs and perks you signed up for, to send the updates you asked for, to keep the site secure, and to understand which pages are useful. We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you.
Analytics and session tools
Depending on configuration, this site may load Google Analytics 4, Vercel Web Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar. These record page views, referrers, device type and — for Clarity and Hotjar — anonymised interaction recordings and heatmaps. You can block them with your browser or an ad blocker without losing site functionality.
Where it goes
Form submissions are stored on Vercel Blob storage and are readable only by authenticated 2080 administrators. Welcome and notification emails are sent through Google's mail servers. This site is hosted on Vercel. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
International transfers
2080 operates across more than a dozen countries and our infrastructure providers are United States companies, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and signups are retained while they are commercially relevant and are trimmed automatically as the list grows. Analytics data follows each provider's own retention period. Ask us to delete your record and we will.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or unsubscribe from any email — one message to the address below is enough. If you are in the EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you these rights; if you are in California, the CCPA does. We apply them to everyone regardless of where you live.
Children
This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We update this policy when what we do changes, and the date at the top moves with it.
